2010 Running Blog: http://runmarcrun.wordpress.com

Starting in February 2008, I began running as a component of my exercise program. I gradually increased the distance of my runs and on November 23, 2008 completed the Philadelphia Marathon. I am a member of the New York Road Runners. I am hoping to run other marathons in coming years, including the ING NYC Marathon.

I ran the following races in 2008:

  • AHA Wall Street Run, May 20, 3 mi, 24:46
  • MSKCC Rock 'n' Run, June 8, 5 km, 26:14
  • JP Morgan Corporate Challenge, June 19, 3.5 mi, 28:45
  • New York Park to Park, July 13, 10 km, 59:44
  • Nike NYC Half-Marathon, July 27, 13.1 mi, 2:05:36
  • Komen NYC Race for the Cure, Sept. 14, 5 km, 23:55
  • Newport Liberty Half-Marathon, Sept. 28, 13.1 mi, 2:00:16
  • Poland Spring Marathon Kickoff, Oct. 26, 5 mi, 40:51
  • Race to Deliver, Nov. 16, 4 mi, 32:56
  • Philadelphia Marathon, Nov. 23, 26.2 mi, 5:55:09

In 2008 I also began cycling regularly. I participated in two organized rides with Hazon: Bike to the Beach - a trip from the Upper West Side of Manhattan to Coney Island - and the 2008 Hazon NY Jewish Environmental Bike Ride - a two-day ride during which I completed the 100 mile "century" route on the first day and a 50 mile ride from Garrison, NY into Manhattan on the second day. I look forward to participating in other rides, including the 2009 Hazon NY Jewish Environmental Bike Ride and the 5 Boro Bike Ride, this year.
