  • Litigating on behalf of minority shareholders over misuse of corporate intellectual
    property, including famous marks;
  • Tried case on behalf of Metropolitan Transportation Authority against Lockheed Martin in
    $300+ million complex contract, software/technology, and construction dispute, conducted
    depositions and took trial testimony of software engineers and expert witnesses, and
    engaged extensive motion practice, including successful partial summary judgment;
  • Represented technology company to protect its trade secrets and trademarks against
    infringement and to resolve contract disputes;
  • Successfully overcame initial refusals by the U.S. Trademark Office to register trademark
    for foreign corporation;
  • Advised foreign counsel on U.S. trademark issues for the benefit foreign client; and
  • Advised media website on terms and conditions, membership policies.

Providing complex commercial litigation counsel and corporate advising, including

  • Vindicated improperly-terminated physician’s employment and tenure rights in state court;
  • Successfully appealed negative federal jury verdict on behalf of hospital defendant in
    employment matter leading to entry of full judgment in favor of our client;
  • Defeated insider trading action brought by FINRA Market Regulation, getting all charges
    dismissed (post-hearing briefing work);
  • Pursuing damages on behalf of investment advisor firm members against bank that reneged on loan agreement; and
  • Advising employees on severance and separation issues.

  • Evaluating potential claims and litigation risk arising from misrepresentations discovered after the conclusion of a merger agreement on behalf of major healthcare products manufacturer
  • Defending a major investment bank against a claw-back claim arising from large, complex bankruptcy, resulting in a favorable settlement.
  • Engaging in research and strategy on behalf of major consumer electronics manufacturer in contract-based arbitration.
  • Advising commercial real estate developer on options arising out of threatened default by major tenant.
